Henley finishes off quality tour opener
Russell Henley barely moved up the leaderboard, but he kept pace with the huge number of low scores with his final round for The Sentry in Hawaii.
Henley shot a second straight 68 to finish with a 17-under 275. Amazingly, that was good only for a tie for 30th on a weekend in which all 58 players were at least 3 under and three dozen shot 15-under or better.
Henley birdied five holes on his front nine – he started on 10 – and stayed bogey-free until his next-to-last hole, No. 8.
Henley’s last 17-under tournament was the RSM Classic in November of 2023. He opened last season with an 11-under 281 at the Sentry.
Up next is the Sony Open in Honolulu starting Thursday. Henley tied for fourth last year with a 16-under 264.
