Around/About Central Georgia

Henley continues solid play at Sony

Russell Henley got off to a rough start in the first round of the Sony Open in Hawaii, but settled down quickly to finish with a 4-under 66 and in a tie for 13th.

A small number of golfers will finish the first round on Friday.

Henley is two shots behind six players tied for first at 6 under.

The Stratford grad birdied No. 5, and birdied three of the next five holes, with pars in between. A bogey on 17 interrupted a strong finish with three birdies on the final five holes.
